Tailored artificial intelligence systems, born in Puglia. To make visible where a business is losing, why, and how much.
Itria is based in Crispiano, in the province of Taranto, and builds tailored artificial intelligence systems for small and medium-sized businesses. It works remotely, and the first step is a fifteen-minute video call.
What it does. It makes visible where a business is losing time or revenue, why and how much, and builds the system that wins it back, one piece at a time. The Cruscotto brings together the numbers that matter.
Where from. Born in Puglia, it works remotely with businesses in Puglia and across Italy, on the tools they already have.
Why now. In Puglia, artificial intelligence is part of the production process at about one industrial company in ten. In Piedmont the share is just under 28%.
Puglia and artificial intelligence, from the data
In Puglia, about one industrial company in ten uses artificial intelligence in its production process. That's the finding of the Bank of Italy, L’economia della Puglia, the report on 2025 published in June 2026: the use of predictive or generative artificial intelligence is limited to about a tenth of companies.
In the same report, around 20% of companies use robotics, even if only on a trial basis. In Piedmont, the share of industrial companies using AI is just under 28%, according to the twin report. The gap between regions is the same one that separates small businesses from large ones: a question of access.
The agrifood sector that exports
In 2025, exports from Puglia grew by 2.6% at current prices, against 3.3% for Italy and a fall of 1.2% in the South. According to the Bank of Italy, agricultural and food products were among the main contributors, and olive and olive oil production continued to grow.
From 2019 to 2025 the region's exports grew by 10.4%, against 33.9% for Italy. But for agrifood products, growth outpaced the national figure. Behind that number are small businesses receiving enquiries from abroad, in other languages, and handling them by hand: that's where Itria started, and the work is collected in the guide to export operations for small food producers.
The method, for a business in Puglia
We measure before we build. The Terms (in Italian) put it plainly: no work is proposed until we've looked at where the business is losing time or revenue today. The first look from the outside comes from the Diagnostico (in Italian).
The first piece is decided by the problem that weighs most: enquiries in several languages left unanswered, documents to retype, customers to follow up, payments to chase. The pieces available, problem by problem, are in Services, and none of them replaces the tools the business already uses.
Anything going out to a customer is approved by a person, as set out in Ethics. The price is fixed and agreed in advance, and Itria takes on only a few clients at a time, because every system is built by one person.
The evidence, each with its label
Three measurements published on the home page, described for what they are. Two come from a test bench and can be rerun in front of you; one comes from work for a client.

Questions and answers
Is there an AI agency in Puglia for SMEs?
Itria is based in Crispiano, in the province of Taranto, and builds tailored artificial intelligence systems for small and medium-sized businesses. It starts by measuring where the business is losing time or revenue today, and builds one piece at a time.
The work is remote, and the first step is a fifteen-minute video call.
How many businesses use artificial intelligence in Puglia?
According to the Bank of Italy, in 2025 predictive or generative artificial intelligence was part of the production process at about one in ten industrial companies in Puglia. Around 20% use robotics, even if only on a trial basis.
The figure comes from the report L’economia della Puglia, published in June 2026. For comparison, in Piedmont the share of industrial companies using AI is just under 28%.
What is artificial intelligence useful for in an agrifood business that exports?
Not losing enquiries that arrive from abroad in other languages, and quickly preparing what they ask for: a reply, a spec sheet, a price list, the shipping documents.
The system prepares, and a person approves before anything goes out to a customer. Our work on these topics is collected in the guide to export operations for small food producers.
Does Itria only work with businesses in Puglia?
No: it works with businesses all over Italy. It's based in Crispiano, in the province of Taranto, and Mattia Esposito, who runs it, works from Turin and remotely.
The method doesn't change with the city: you start from what the business is losing today, and build on the tools it already has.
How do you start working with Itria?
With a fifteen-minute video call, looking at where the business is losing time or revenue today. Then we measure, and write down the scope with a fixed price agreed in advance.
We build one piece at a time, on the tools the business already uses. Itria takes on only a few clients at a time, because every system is built by one person.

From the province of Taranto to the rest of Italy. The first step takes fifteen minutes.
We look at where the business is losing time or revenue today, and only then decide what to build, with a fixed price agreed in advance. Drop us a line about what's slowing you down. We'll make the first move: we'll look at what a customer sees when they search for you, and tell you what we found. Even if we never end up working together.
